Capability, not courses
A course transfers knowledge. Capability is the ability of an organisation to do a hard thing repeatedly with its own people. We design for the second.
About
We help organisations develop the people, practices, evidence and leadership systems required to solve complex challenges repeatedly. The work is practical, measured and designed to stay behind when we leave.
Innovation Network works with enterprise, government, defence, higher education and technology organisations in the UK and internationally. The work combines AI enablement, organisational innovation capability, challenge-led sprints, strategic facilitation, practitioner and facilitator development, leadership and portfolio governance and enterprise learning pathways.
The methods are well established: design thinking, lean innovation, Design Sprints, agile, systems thinking and continuous improvement. What distinguishes the work is how they are applied. Every programme runs on live challenges, produces evidence and ends in workplace application. Every engagement is designed to transfer capability to internal people.
We have delivered programmes for the UK Ministry of Defence in partnership with UK Defence Innovation and the Defence Academy, for government ministries, global consumer goods companies, telecommunications operators, professional services firms and leading universities.

What we believe
A course transfers knowledge. Capability is the ability of an organisation to do a hard thing repeatedly with its own people. We design for the second.
Recognition on our pathway is earned by producing and applying work products on live challenges. Sponsors see what was built, decided and changed.
We measure ourselves on how quickly a client needs us less. Internal facilitators, assessors and champions are the point of the work.
AI is a working tool at every stage. People own decisions, sources are checked and information is handled within the organisation’s rules.
Leadership
Grant founded Innovation Network and designs and leads its programmes. He has facilitated innovation and AI programmes for defence, government, enterprise and university clients, and works directly with senior sponsors on strategy, portfolio governance and capability planning.
He is supported by a network of associate facilitators, assessors and subject specialists, engaged for each programme according to the sector and the capability required.
Grant on LinkedInHow we work
Live challenges, not hypothetical exercises
Every programme runs on problems the organisation actually needs solved. Participants leave with progress on real work, not a workbook.
Evidence of application, not attendance
Recognition is earned by producing and applying work products in the workplace. Sponsors see what was built, decided and changed.
Role-based pathways, not one-size-fits-all courses
Ambassadors, practitioners, facilitators, specialists and leaders share one foundation, then go as deep as their role requires.
Internal facilitators, not permanent supplier dependency
We develop the people who can design and run the work themselves. The capability stays when we leave.
AI embedded throughout, not isolated in a masterclass
AI supports research, synthesis, prototyping and analysis at every stage, with human judgement, source checking and governance built in.
Sectors
Organisations we have worked with include UK Ministry of Defence, UK Defence Innovation, Defence Academy of the United Kingdom, Imperial College London, UCL, London School of Economics.
